I am a poet, children’s book author, artist, and long-time kindergarten teacher. I have been teaching kindergarten for over twenty years.  The children that surround me each day (including my own) and the amazingly adorable things they say and do serve as my inspiration. My poetry and stories reflect themes of friendship, perseverance, and wonder. 

Besides writing, I am passionate about creating art, mainly acrylic and watercolor painting.  I teach art classes, have participated in art shows in my community, and enjoy creating with my children. Other hobbies include reading, singing, and spending time with my family and friends. 

I live in Southern California with my wonderfully wise husband and three beautiful and brilliant children.
